Santa Maria KC AKC Shows
The Santa Maria Kennel Club hosts the following three AKC events a year:
July 4th - 6th:  Channel City KC, Santa Maria KC, and the Ventura Dog Fanciers Association are hosting the El Camino Real Summerfest.  The overall show coordinator is Mr. Jim Scott.  Santa Maria KC show Chairperson is Annette Kubecka.  The Show site is at Seaside Park/Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, Ca.  The event superintendent is Jack Bradshaw and they can be found at www.jbradshaw.com.  At the Jbradshaw site, you can get ring number, ring times, and the number of dogs entered for your favorite breed.  This year there are approximately 2600 dogs entered in Conformation, Obedience, and Rally Obedience.  This is a good time to come out and see your favorite dog and talk to the owners and breeders about it.
Just remember to ask after judging is done.

August 2nd - 3rd:  The Santa Maria KC will host the 4th annual Agility Trial.  The Trial Secretary is Lorie Abbot of ABBA Dogs and she can be found at www.abbadogs.com.  The Trial Chairperson is Dave Swinson and he can be contacted at dogsports@santamariakennelclub.org.  The Trial will take place at the Santa Maria Elks Lodge with 1st dog on the line at about 8:00 am.  Last year, we endured 70-80 degree heat while the rest of Cal was triple digit heat.  We had approximately 120 exhibitors competing with a total of 300+ runs completed during the two day trial.

October 4th -5th:  The Channel City KC and the Santa Maria KC team up again to host the Coast Classic.  The show is held at the Santa Maria Fairplex in Santa Maria.  The show superintendent is Jack Bradshaw.
